01Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Spicy Sunday Finance website (the “Site”) and any content, forms, newsletters and products offered through it. The Site is operated by Spicy Sunday Studio, a business owned by Jane Jeong in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

02Eligibility

The Site is intended for adults. By submitting a form, subscribing or buying a product, you confirm you are at least the age of majority in your province, territory or country and able to agree to these Terms.

03Not financial advice

All content on the Site and in the videos, posts, newsletters, guides, trackers, templates, wallet reviews, ratings, Cobalt's World and the Spicy Awards (together, “Content”) is for general educational and entertainment purposes only. It is not financial, investment, credit, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation or offer to buy, sell or apply for any product.

Spicy Sunday Studio is not a registered financial advisor, investment dealer, portfolio manager, credit counsellor, accountant or lawyer. Content does not consider your personal circumstances, objectives, credit history or risk tolerance. Using the Site does not create an advisor–client or any other professional relationship.

Before making a financial decision, do your own research, read the provider's terms, and consult a qualified professional. Investing involves risk, including loss of principal. Past performance, points valuations and example results are not guarantees of future outcomes.

04Accuracy of information

Credit card and financial product details — including annual fees, interest rates, earn rates, welcome bonuses, insurance coverage, eligibility criteria and point values — change frequently and can differ by person. Content is kept as accurate and current as possible at the time it's published, but it is not guaranteed to be complete, accurate or up to date.

Always confirm the current terms directly with the issuer or provider before applying. Approval for any card or account is determined solely by the issuer, and Spicy Sunday Studio has no influence over it.

05Affiliate disclosure

Some links on the Site, in the videos and in the newsletter are referral or affiliate links, including links to FinlyWealth, credit card issuers, Wealthsimple and Blossom. If you click one and sign up, apply, get approved or make a purchase, Spicy Sunday Studio may receive a commission, referral bonus or other reward. This comes at no extra cost to you, and in some cases you may receive a bonus as well.

Brands may also pay for sponsored content or partnerships, and sponsored content is clearly labelled. The opinions, ratings and reviews here are honest ones, and compensation doesn't determine which products are reviewed or how they are rated. Not every product mentioned earns anything, and not every product available in the market is covered.

06Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• break any law or infringe anyone's rights;
• submit false, misleading, offensive or unlawful information;
• submit someone else's wallet or personal information without their permission;
• send spam, malware, or automated or bulk submissions;
• try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems or its data;
• scrape, copy or harvest Content or data by automated means; or
• interfere with the security or normal operation of the Site.

Access may be blocked, and submissions that break these rules removed.

07Wallet review submissions

By submitting a wallet for review, you confirm that:

• the wallet is yours, or you have permission to share it;
• the information you provide is accurate;
• you have not included card numbers, account numbers, passwords or other sensitive personal or financial information; and
• your submission doesn't violate any law or anyone else's rights.

Submissions are sent from the form on this Site and recorded in a private Google Sheet held in the business's Google Workspace account, where only Spicy Sunday Studio can see them. Google acts as a service provider and may process and store the information outside Canada, including in the United States, under its own terms.

You grant Spicy Sunday Studio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, display, edit, adapt, publish and distribute your wallet, the cards in it, and the name or handle you gave, in videos, on the Site, in the newsletter and on social media, in any format. You won't receive payment for this use.

Submitting doesn't guarantee your wallet will be reviewed or featured; selection is entirely at Spicy Sunday Studio's discretion. Reviews are honest opinions and may include criticism. You can withdraw your submission before it's published by emailing hello@spicy-sunday.com. After publication, reasonable removal requests are considered, but copies made by others may remain.

08Messages and feedback

Ideas, suggestions or feedback you send may be used without restriction or payment. Not every message gets a reply, and personal financial questions generally can't be answered.

09Newsletter

If you subscribe, you agree to receive emails from Spicy Sunday Studio, which may include Content, product announcements, affiliate links and sponsored messages. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See the Privacy Policy for more.

10Guides, trackers and templates

Where they're sold

The free and paid digital products (such as guides, checklists, plans, trackers and spreadsheet templates) are delivered through third-party platforms, currently Stan Store and Beacons. Checkout, payment processing, taxes collected at checkout and delivery are handled by those platforms, subject to their terms and privacy policies as well as these Terms and any terms shown on the product page.

Prices and descriptions

Prices are shown on the product page and may change at any time. Products are described as accurately as possible, but previews and images are for illustration. If a product is listed with an obvious pricing or description error, the order may be cancelled and refunded.

Licence

When you download or buy a product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may make a copy for your own use. You may not resell, share, sublicense, distribute, publish, upload to shared drives or marketplaces, or claim the product or any part of it as your own. Spreadsheet templates may be edited for your own use only.

Refunds

Because products are digital and delivered immediately, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or stated on the product page. If you have trouble accessing a product or receive a faulty file, email hello@spicy-sunday.com with your order details and it will be sorted out.

Results

Products are educational tools. Results depend on your own circumstances and decisions, and no savings, rewards, credit score changes or financial outcome is guaranteed.

11Intellectual property

The Site and Content — including text, videos, graphics, illustrations, logos, the Spicy Sunday Finance name, Cobalt's World, the Spicy Awards, page designs and products — are owned by Spicy Sunday Studio or used under licence, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

You may view the Site and share links to it. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially use Content without prior written permission. Short quotes with clear credit and a link back are welcome.

Card names, logos and card art belong to their respective issuers and owners and are used for identification and commentary. Their appearance doesn't imply any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement unless it says so.

12Third-party websites and services

The Site links to websites and services outside Spicy Sunday Studio's control, including card issuers, FinlyWealth, investing platforms, online stores, wikiHow, the Canada Revenue Agency and social media platforms. Spicy Sunday Studio isn't responsible for their content, products, availability, accuracy, security or privacy practices, and any dealings you have with them are solely between you and them.

13Changes to the Site

Any part of the Site, Content or products may be changed, updated, suspended or discontinued at any time without notice. The Site isn't guaranteed to be always available, uninterrupted or error-free.

14Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site, Content and products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

15Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spicy Sunday Studio and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, profits, rewards, points, credit standing or data, arising from your use of or reliance on the Site, Content, products, or any third-party product or service linked from the Site.

Where liability can't be excluded, total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim in the previous 12 months, or CAD $50 if nothing was paid.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

16Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spicy Sunday Studio and its owner from any claims, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your submissions, or your misuse of the Site or products.

17Suspension and termination

Access to the Site, the newsletter or products may be restricted or ended at any time if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue — including the disclaimers, the licences you granted, intellectual property, limitation of liability and indemnity — survive termination.

18Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Before starting any claim, please get in touch so it can be resolved informally.

19General

• Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and and Spicy Sunday Studio about the Site.
• Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver: not enforcing a term right away doesn't give up the right to do so later.
• Assignment: Spicy Sunday Studio may transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms; you may not without written consent.
• Language: these Terms are written in English, and the English version governs.

20Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version, and changes take effect when posted. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
