How Spicy Sunday Studio collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information.

Spicy Sunday Finance is a personal finance education brand operated by Spicy Sunday Studio (“Spicy Sunday Studio”), a business owned by Jane Jeong in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This Privacy Policy explains how Spicy Sunday Studio collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal information when you visit this website (the “Site”), submit a wallet for review, sign up for the newsletter, download or buy a product through the stores, or get in touch.
Spicy Sunday Studio handles personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Commercial emails from the business follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
This policy applies to personal information collected through:
It does not cover third-party websites, apps or platforms the Site links to, or platforms Spicy Sunday Finance appears on — such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, FinlyWealth, Stan Store, Beacons, card issuers or investing platforms. Those services have their own privacy policies, and they are worth reading.
“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual, such as your name, social media handle, email address or a link that can be connected to you. It doesn't include information that has been anonymized or combined so that it can no longer identify you.
When you visit the Site, the hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how you use the Site: the pages you view, the links you click (including referral links), the site or app that sent you here, your approximate location (city and country), your device, browser and screen size, and a random identifier stored in a cookie so repeat visits can be counted. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. If you don't accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and none of this is collected. See Cookies and similar technologies.
If you buy or download a product through Stan Store or Beacons, those platforms may share limited order information (such as your name, email address and the product chosen) so the order can be delivered and supported. Card issuers and referral partners may report that a referral was completed, but they generally don't share your identity.
Please never send full card numbers, CVV codes, bank account details, online banking or account passwords, your Social Insurance Number, government ID, or credit reports. If any of it arrives by mistake, it will be deleted.
Personal information is collected, used and disclosed with your consent, or as permitted or required by law. Consent is given when you submit a form, subscribe to the newsletter or send an email, for the purposes described in this policy and at the time of collection.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by emailing hello@spicy-sunday.com. Withdrawing may mean a wallet can no longer be considered for a review, or the newsletter can no longer be sent.
FinlyWealth wallet links are public by design. When you submit one, you understand that if your wallet is selected, the cards in it, the assessment of it and the name or handle you provided may be published in videos, on this Site, and on social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Email addresses, and anything in the notes that identifies you beyond the name or handle you chose, are not published unless you agree to it.
Content posted publicly can be viewed, saved and shared by others, and platforms may keep copies. If you change your mind before your wallet is featured, email hello@spicy-sunday.com and the submission will be removed from consideration. After publication, reasonable requests to edit or take down content are considered, but copies made by others can't be controlled.
The newsletter only goes to people who opt in. Every issue includes contact information and an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribe requests are processed promptly. Messages directly related to something you asked for — a reply to your email, or delivery of a product — may still be sent.
Newsletters may contain affiliate links or sponsored content, which will be disclosed.
Some service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When information is held in another country, it is subject to that country's laws and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. Providers are chosen for their commitment to protecting personal information.
The Site links to other services, including card issuers and comparison sites (such as FinlyWealth), Wealthsimple, Blossom, Stan Store, Beacons, wikiHow, the Canada Revenue Agency, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Some of these links are referral or affiliate links, which means the company may track that you came from this Site.
When you apply for a card, open an account, buy a product or get in touch on social media, that company collects and uses your information under its own terms and privacy policy. Stores process payments directly, and full payment card details are never seen or stored here. See the affiliate disclosure.
Personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then securely deleted or anonymized:
Personal information used to make a decision that directly affects you is kept for at least one year after that decision, as required by PIPA.
Reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards are in place, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), reputable service providers, access limited to people who need it, and strong account security.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach of security involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, you and the appropriate authorities will be notified as required by law.
Subject to certain legal exceptions, you have the right to:
To make a request, email hello@spicy-sunday.com. Enough information to confirm your identity may be requested first. A reply follows within 30 days, or sooner, unless more time is allowed by law. Requests are free, unless one is excessive, in which case any cost is confirmed in advance.
The privacy contact is Jane Jeong, reachable at hello@spicy-sunday.com. Concerns about how information has been handled are best raised there first, so they can be resolved directly.
If that doesn't settle it, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca) or, where PIPEDA applies, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
The Site is intended for adults. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under the age of majority in their province or territory. If a minor has sent something in, email hello@spicy-sunday.com and it will be deleted.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Site, the services or the law. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Significant changes are posted on the Site or sent to newsletter subscribers. Continuing to use the Site after an update means the updated policy applies.
